Pole Sitters for all Special Events will get 10 points
After ARCSOA officials gave 10 points to Dornan Bouchard for his American 700 pole, lots of ARCSOA pundits were wondering if this would become a permanent fixture for the rest of the season. Where all pole sitters of special event races will get 10 points. ARCSOA Competition Director William Williams confirmed that would be the case.
However, in a surprising move, Williams also announced that Nick Pericles, the Grand Prix of Road Atlanta polesitter, would retroactively get 10 points for his pole as well. The points will not show up until after the Round of South Carolina has been completed. However, that is, in fact, the case.
