Round 11: Round of Florida @ Daytona

OOC: I am unable to run this race. Therefore, someone else is. However, the race WILL NOT have the one-off cars. However, I will have another one off race later. 

There will be special event points awarded though, and I will give 10 points for the winner.

Handling proves to be huge factor in Round Of Florida


During the first practice at Daytona International Raceway... we have begun seeing that the bumpy nature of the track is beginning to unsettle the cars through the corners. Skyler Manafold, crew chief of Car #3 stated, "Handling is going to be paramount in this Daytona race. This track is incredibly bumpy and therefore requires a car to be balanced perfectly in order to win the race and stay in the pack."

Kurtis: "We have had some good runs recently, hopefully it keeps up. Confidence has risen quite well."

Freeze: Tough break for both of my teammates thought one of them was going to win. As far as our 05 guys just not our day as we head to Texas. Also, that was a tough ending for Madeline Myatt kind of silly to block on the last lap.

"Fast car, contact with Kurtis blew our tire out and ruined a bunch of people's days."

Moss' tire did not blow from any contact with Kurtis, Moss awarded 2nd strike


After careful analysis by competition director, William Williams, the only caution of the Round of Florida was deemed to be a misjudgement by Beka Moss. 

Williams explained the ruling in a statement, "We think that when the #84 and #15 made contact. The driver of car #84 thought she had a tire going down. However, according to our replay analysis system, we have determined that to not be the case." Moss, along with Ben Dover was awarded a strike.

"Even if Moss had a tire going down, she should have backed out of the throttle and let the pack go by. She decided it would be a great idea to jam the throttle through the floorboard while she's on the apron. ARCSOA will not tolerate that level of incompetence." 

Moss, is now sitting on her second strike, if she gets a third, she will receive a one-race ban. Dover received his first of the season at Daytona.

Alex:"...... Just great. Just fricking great. What in the hell were you thinking Moss? Damnit, why is it everytime we have a shot at a great finish, we get screwed by something not of our own doing? We had such an amazing car today, only to end the day slow and in the fence."

Arndt: I really don't know what to say. All I can ask is what happened? Nothing is going right for us at the moment. All of the momentum I've carried has fallen apart. Why am I out here if all I'm going to do is fall apart?"

Kurtis: "A real good run yet again, but that caution was utterly ridiculous. An avoidable wreck that took out multiple drivers. An absolute moron to say the least."

Hallec: "Me oh my, it be so fun to race at these blistering speeds. Although, I be still unable to get any sort of sniff at a top ten. 'Tis it be a rare occasion, I do, but that be only when half the field is taken aback.

Hallec: "Ah well, 17th here at Daytona is fine with me. A lot better than I be usually doin!' No points though. Also, what was (Moss) she thinking? She took out some winning potential cars. At least I be too far back and missed said pileup..."
