2018 Round 8: Gateway
After an exciting Talladega race, the drivers head to the small track of Gateway. Jake West has been maintaining his points lead since the first race, but TJ Martin has been closing in the gap with as much consistency as West has. Gateway is a somewhat unorthodox track with its first corner, as the banking can seem relatively weird, which can throw drivers off. What will the teams do in order to conquer Gateway, as well as close in on the championship contenders? We'll have to wait and see later on in the afternoon today!

Porkins on Pole, CM Racing Remaining Strong
Jek Porkins has been a bit under the radar in terms of the CM Racing camp, but he may set up a good presence today with his first pole of the season. CM Racing has been gaining some momentum in terms of speed, with Benyacko's win, Porkins could be another in the camp that could find victory lane, but Martin and the others will challenge to see whether Porkins's lap was a mere hot lap.

Re: 2018 Round 8: Gateway
25th, one of our better qualifying runs this year.
Hoping to use this quali result to do well in the race and regain some lost financial backing.

Shepherd: Extremely greatful for our top 10 qualifying run! Unfortunately, we are on the outside. I hope we can slot it and make it to the front and make this a good race. The team and crew have been great so far this year, and I hope it continues!

"32nd, just had the wrong pit strategy, if not for that we could've had a top 20 based on the attrition."
OOC: How was that wreck our fault? From what I saw Daleo came up on us. We just held our line.

Very disappointed that the 53 ruined Daleo's race including Hallec's as well
