DDS Round 19 of California

The CTRS race from her will be up tomorrow. Round 20 will be Saturday and Round 21 sill be Monday.

Lap by Lap updates (lead changes, crashes, retirees):
Lap 1: Kei Nagase on pole and will lead lap 1.
Lap 5: Cassie Gaines out front by Nagase.
Lap 8: 3 wide for the lead, Gaines maintains out front.
Lap 11: Vince Freeze from nineteenth will take the lead from Cassie in Turn 3.
Lap 13: 3 wide for the lead once again, Merrcik Sr to the front.
Lap 15: 3 wide for the lead again, John Bunnell takes it from Merrick and Brock.
Lap 16: Mara Pena battles back oon the outside to the lead.
Lap 17: John battles back to the lead.
Lap 19: Yet again three wide in Turn 1 and Merrick Sr takes the lead back.
Lap 30: Brock takes the lead from Merrick but gets passed the same corner by Freeze.
Lap 32: Craig Jacobs makes contact with Freeze off Turn 4 and takes the lead.
Lap 33: Freeze crosses him under, back to the lead.
Lap 35 (1st Caution): Christian Merrick Sr breaks down in Turn 2 and Henry Williams runs into the back of him starting a chain reaction crash that would take out 17 cars. Gaines blows the motor under this caution.

Lap 40: Dawson takes the lead after the caution.
Lap 42: Brock takes Dawson and Jacobs three wide and claims the lead.
Lap 44: But Dawson makes a successful crossover and retakes the lead.
Lap 49: Craig Jacobs to the lead.
Lap 50: But as before Dawson crosses him over and retakes the lead.
Lap 75: Katie Anderson to the lead.
Lap 76: Dawson crosses her under for the lead, that's the third time he has made that move.
Lap 86: Anderson back to the lead, this time she brought some company with her so Dawson couldn't cross her back under.
Lap 91: After pit stops, Dawson has a two second lead but it has already been cut in half.
Lap 97: Darren Weber to the lead.
Lap 111: Dawson retakes the lead, these two hold a five second gap back to Katie Anderson in third.
Lap 112: Weber passes Dawson then Dawson tries an immediate crossover and fails.
Lap 118: Mara Pena blows up.
Lap 137 (Caution 2): William McDonald blows up and Mark Jones hits the grass and breaks down just after leaving the pits. Tommy Roberts has stayed out thus far and is going to be the new leader.
Lap 150: Darren Weber takes the lead with 100 laps to go currently with only 6 cars on the lead lap.
Lap 168: In traffic, Weber loses the lead to Dawson.
Lap 176: After a tense battle in traffic, Weber gets the lead back.
Lap 181: After Dawson took the lead last lap, Weber crosses him over and goes back to the lead.
Lap 197: Tommy Roberts momentarily held the lead after his pit stop but lost it to Weber.
Lap 206: Roberts back to the lead.
Lap 213: Dawson back out front after getting a big run on Roberts off Turn 4.
Lap 225: Weber to the lead with 25 to go.
Lap 235 (Caution 3): Kei Nagase spins in Turn 4 attempting to enter the pits. Weber leads.
Lap 244: As Ryan Yarbough gets his lap back, Henrietta Fitzwater takes the lead!
Lap 250: Henrietta Fitzwater holds off a hard charging Tommy Roberts to win at California. Her husband competed very poorly today due to the early crash but has a chance to redeem himself tomorrow in the Cup race. Yarbough gets seventh and will maintain inside the top 35 in points.
