Cody Llamas won't be racing at Indianapolis
A severe accident on Lap 1 in Chicago with Cody Llamas slamming the outside wall hard with the driver/roof side of the car head on into the concrete wall left Llamas with a concussion and was taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluations. Llamas was left beaten up and bruised after a heavy collision and was complaining of his ribs and back from the wreck. Llamas also claimed the wrecked knocked the breath out of him and needed to regain composure after one of his worst accidents in his racing career. Llamas has stated that he hopes to be back in the car soon but after being told about his concussion that his doctor and the SCS Officials have advised Llamas to sit out of Indianapolis until further noticed.
Cody Llamas will hope to return at Iowa in two weeks.
Naming the replacement driver for Cody Llamas has fell on the hands of Cyberton Motorsports team owner of James Silverfox and the team has called TJ Martin to do the job for this weekend. Martin, the current Hardee's National Series point leader, will take to the car this weekend. TJ Martin failed to qualify for Rockingham earlier this year so this extra start in this season will not impede his opportunity at the SCS ROTY Title in 2019. Martin also is a winner in the Cup level after upsetting at Talladega a couple months back.

Llamas - "I'm very disappointed it had to come to this in the end. I tried every possible way to see if my concussions symptoms would improve as the days went on after the race. In the end after some discussing I figured it would make the most sense to do. All to report my back and ribs are feeling better everyday and we'll be back for sure in Iowa. Gonna take this time to regroup, hang around the shop and go to the race this weekend to watch from the pitbox. I know I'll come back stronger from this and lookout for us the rest of the season. I also have full confidence that TJ will keep the car up there and will be helping him along from ontop of the box. See you in Indy kinda. "
