Nick Mace looks at Talladega as an opportunity to close the gap
The championship went from 63 to 64 points behind after the checkered flag waved at Chicagoland. Mace finished 2 spots behind Turner but due to his laps led he only lost 1 point. A lot is riding on Nick Mace’s shoulders as he searches for his 2nd drivers title. Talladega this weekend is bound to be a make or break race for him.
Nick Mace: “Chicagoland was good. We had a fast car but was unable to get the best result and Turner was able to outscore us. We need a good race at Talladega. We’ve been making a comeback in the championship so Talladega will make it easier for us to catch up or end it all for us. We know what we need to do and Talladega is a big race for us.”
