I am indeed a fan of coasters of roller type.

#1 AfterBurn (aka TopGun) Carowinds
#2 ThunderHead - DollyWood
#3 The Intimadator - Carowinds
#4 Fury 325 - Carowinds
#5 Rebal Yell - Kings Dominion

I'm actually about to go to DollyWood to ride Lighting Rod. I might visit some more Cedar Fair parks as well. Dillon Young also likes Roller Coasters.

The Intimadator was good when I was there... probably better then Fury. However I notice the thing is LOADED with trim brakes to slow it down. None of them were activated when I was there. So I put it lower then Fury because I think I just got a good ride on it. Rebel Yell is a clone of The Racer At Kings Island, a ride I really didn't think was all that good. Afterburn is RELENTLESS and doesn't ever stop throwing you around. That last inversion really surprised the hell out of me because I didn't see it.

Fury would be higher if it didn't have that stupid brake about 2/3rds from the end. That brake kills the momentum that the ride has. The First Drop on Fury also wasn't the best either. But the twists on the way out are amazing.

Carowinds in general reminds me a LOT of Cedar Point. The parks have VERY similar layouts. Carowinds is just a third of the size and more compacted. Heck, Fury 325 and Gatekeeper practically have the same layout plan. They start on the right side of the park, cross the main entrance path, turn around immediately, and head back. I tend to get lost in more confusing parks, but Carowinds was surprisingly easy to get around in.

The BIG downside to Carowinds is, the park seems incomplete. It has a trio of great coasters in which the park is built around, (Fury 325, The Intimidator, and Afterburn). However Carowinds other coasters are PRETTY useless. I remember Carolina Goldrusher being the MOST POINTLESS Coaster I have EVER been on. Come to think of it, Carolina Goldrusher isn't even aimed for kids due to its height requirement. Hurler was down when I was there. But I had a hard time finding a DECENT coaster beyond the three.

Rebal Yell is a clone of ThunderRoad from Carowinds. Which I rode Rebal Yell when I was very young, but since they tore down ThunderRoad I picked it's cousin pretty much.

I simply can't do roller coasters, it makes me very queasy, especially the corkscrew ones. But the worst IMO are the carnival rides where all they do is go around in circles, faster and faster, even with my eyes closed I feel like my stomach is gonna come out of my throat.... YUCK!

Saying that, I understand why people like them, and it's cool to see something that would be considered "Old-school" still be popular.... Just don't ask me to get on one LOL!

NightHawk, Carolina Cobra, and Carolina Cyclone are pretty awesome. Which you said that you didn't get to ride NightHawk. I've ridden it once, so I'm not the best of judge that is why it's not on my top 5. Cobra was pretty good, but it's to short of a thrill for me. Just and fyi Carowinds has had only kept three rides from opening day. One of them was torn down that was ThunderRoad. Now they have 2 rides left from year 1. The Carolina Goldrusher and Carolina SkyTower. I don't hate on the Goldrusher for that reason, because it's one of the original rides, so it wasn't tame for it's day.

Anyways from my trips to Dollywood I will say I like the Tennessee Tornado (which I'm too tall for now), Mystery Mine, and Wild Eagle are terrific rides. I've rode the Tornado twice. First time I was the right height then like 8 months later I rode it for the second time and I couldn't fit in the seat properly. That was my first coaster I rode that went upside down though. Then Mystery Mine and Wild Eagle I've rode once a piece. Wild Eagle felt too short, and Mystery Mine was very heavily themed, and I didn't feel like going through it a second time, and if you ride it you'll understand why. Then it comes down to ThunderHead which I have to say is the best Wooden Rollercoasters I have every been on. It's funny because it's at a place named Dollywood. A place centered around Dolly Parton, but it actually has very well done rides, and is a serious theme park.

Anyways I'm going back to Dollywood soon to ride Lightning Rod which I can't tell you how excited I am. Then during the summer I should be going to Carowinds and checking out the new WaterPark. My dad has actually shown interest in heading to Ohio just to ride the Beast.

I enjoyed Magnum XL200 at Cedar Point a lot too but Top Thrill Dragster is still my favorite one there although I wish it was a bit longer but at least the lines go a bit faster.

My good friend is the ride supervisor this year on Top Thrill Dragster. Dragster becomes my number 3 coaster when I get a rollback.

Speaking of which. (I am in the black and red coat in the front row)

And just for good measure

That looked like fun, if it meant to do that each time and then went back up right after that it might even fix the 1 problem I have with the coaster which is how short the ride is.

I've only been on two roller coasters my whole life, both at Darien Lake Park in NY. But my fav is The Viper, as you'll see here. Quite awesome!

And this is The Predator. When I went on this I got the very front seat. My gosh it was scary but so much fun too.

Ironically, my coaster nerd friends and I were talking about this coaster. He said something about the control system releases the lap bars differently then the rest of the Arrow Dynamic's multi-loopers!
