Mace Enterprises Looking To Resign Current Drivers
Nick Mace owner of Mace Enterprises is one of the oldest teams in the sport and is considered to be the leading Chevy team in the series. Mace Enterprises has had a lot of success just coming off a big win at Indy with team owner/driver Nick Mace scoring the win, Mace only led 3 laps... the last 3 laps of the 100 lap race to win it! Nick said earlier in the week, "I don't want any changes I feel we have a championship lineup of drivers. All 4 of us have championships in the series and I believe we all can win it this year and I want them back next year. Sponsors for our team is going to stay the same, we hope our driver line up is as well. I'm offering Jordan, Richerd, and Eugene 2-3 year contracts with my team."
Once Silly Season rolls around team owners will be able to hire on new drivers with contracts... It is not recommend to sign drivers on for anything past a year! Mace Enterprises and the current list of drivers have been around for so long so that is reasonable. Regular teams are recommended to sign drivers off month contracts (See 2016 TEAM CONTRACTS forum post to learn a little about it) where you can sign a driver til a certain month or sign a driver for the whole season. Doing so means the driver will have to stay with that team until the Contract is up. Luke Martin signed Skye Commons on til June 2016 because he didn't know if he'd want him around for the entire season and so by the time June came around Martin decided he didn't want him and got a fair release from the team.
Nick Mace and Eugene Demax are the only ones with wins this season at 3 wins right here at half way through the year, already more than what Mace Enterprises had last year (2 the whole year). As of right now, those 2 drivers are the drivers we know will be in the car in 2017! Nick and Eugene. Eugene Demax has signed with Mace Enterprises for another 3 years! As for Nick he said earlier this year he plans to run until the series dies which doesn't look like it will for a long time.
Jordan Davis and Richerd Johnson drivers who are also running with Mace this year have a 2-3 year contract on the table for Mace Enterprises if they want to resign but Davis and Johnson are looking at all options and currently not sure where they want to go with the series after the conclusion of 2016.
Mace Enterprises in Points After Round 17
Nick Mace 6th (In Chase | 2 Wins)
Eugene Demax 12th (In Chase | 1 Win)
Richerd Johnson 17th
Jordan Davis (missed 3 races) 21st

Re: Mace Enterprises Looking To Resign Current Drivers
Well, like you said near the beginning of Indy, Johnson may be retiring so Mace may not have the chance to resign Johnson

Re: Mace Enterprises Looking To Resign Current Drivers
Richerd Johnson hasn't ruled out racing in 2017. He said it's a good possibility he might not return but he might return. If he was to return what would he do is the big question. Mace wants him and Davis, however, Jordan and Richerd told Nick they weren't sure yet. Jordan looking at other options, Richerd obviously looking at maybe exiting.
