IRLS MasterCard Championship Series Signups Empty IRLS MasterCard Championship Series Signups

Post by Finnish909 October 16th 2016, 11:38 pm

The International Racing League Society(IRLS) is a stock car racing league founded in the turn of the new century of the year 2000. The original name of the organization being called the North American Racing League(NARL). The organization and its top series the NARL North American Cup, saw a rise in popularity with names like JF Finguy, Kyle Shock Sr., Vincent Long, Greg Harris, and French-Canadian Jean Moreau. Unfortunately, maybe for fans of the French-Canadian, it started an international boom within the company, leading to a collapse within the inside. A lawsuit that had almost gutted the then NARL out of everything. It's talent, most of it's teams, it's stars, and everything that made the league unique than it's top competitors. In 2004, the future of the league was in jeopardy of closing its doors, forever. If it wasn't for a man by the name of Antonov Ivanov. The Russian entrepreneur was at first wanting to find a way to help support a struggling racing league to get back to it's former glory. Only at the cost of making the series international so he and many other of his business partners can enjoy and watch the drama of automotive racing, as he once quoted, "A dramatic screenplay for anyone who works with an engine." NARL was rebranded to IRLS, and the North American Cup became the World Championship Series. With it came a new era we have seen forever since. The year after in 2005, MasterCard payed to be the title sponsor of the series. The deal has since then, become the name known today. The IRLS MasterCard Championship Series became a well known series. Within the 15 years of the leagues existence, dominant stars from the globe come to compete in the most daunting of this series. A new crop of teams, drivers, and talent have come and go. Last season in 2015-2016 season, was a legendary fight for the title that came down to the veteran James Shelly, and the legend Greg Harris. The two had a very long fight until by a bumper at the line, the legend Harris beat out the Virginian native. The new season is upon us, and the teams and drivers are preparing for a long one, yet again.

Name: Moshe Gurion
Homestate/Home Country: Israel
Rookie or Veteran: Veteran
Backstory: Despite being only 21 years of age, Gurion has already proven to be not only a proficient road course racer, but a smooth Late Model driver as well, driving his #8 Chevy to almost a dozen victories in 2 seasons. He made his move to the IRLS last season, where he struggled early, but by the end of the season he had racked up 3 top 5's and 5 top 10's, including back-to-back top 5's to end the season.

Not many teams have the bowtie and want to risk it. A ringer like you might be perfect for Varsity Motorsports, a team that was around until the series end in 2004. Trust me when I say, Varsity wants you and by last season results, you have a future that other teams might look into you. The 07 is yours if you accept.

Rumors are, Red Bull Racing wants you for the 84 and nothing more. Do you accept L'after Stucolé?

Team Esnka, will like the Greek to fill up the International proportion of their European-American team. They see something in the young Vernio and will like to bring him into his rookie year.

LOL, sorry, I didn't really know how National/International this series was, so I didn't add my normal driver Razz.

Here's the deal though... Dodd is from Puerto Rico(but technically he is American, since PR is a territory of the USA) ... Razz
ANYWAY...

Name: Chris Dodd
Nationality: San Juan, Puerto Rico(Territory of USA)
Veteran
Backstory: From racing Go-Karts from the time he was 11, to being in different Late Model and Street Stock Series throughout the Eastern US, Dodd's career can be categorized in one word: Speed. In 2013, at just 18 years of age, he made his way into the IRLS with a boom, nearly winning in his very first race. In 2014, he ran away with rookie of the year honors, and in 2015 he won 2 races. Unfortunately, his equipment hasn't always been up to par with his ability, considering he had 6 DNF's due to Engine/Transmission problems last season. It is clear though, if he can get his equipment under him, he can be a serious threat.

OOC: Too much for you Finguy? Razz

OOC: You know, if I may ask about Dodd being from Puerto Rico. Was it that he was born in Puerto Rico by his family moving there, or was born in the US but moved to San Juan? I just want to be official here.

And no, not really. Actually, the more the better. Note to everyone.

OOC: No, born in Puerto Rico. I won't go into details(personal reasons), but for story's sake, Dodd decided when he came into racing to take his 2nd last name, believing it would help him get further into racing... Hopefully that helps...

Randy Cross himself, owner of Randy Cross Racing will like you to join his team. Though Cross is a very much of a risk taker, he wants to see the San Juan native in the #3. All Dodd has to do is sign on the dotted line.

Paganello Accepts

Name: Nick Pericles
Homestate/Home Country: Florida, USA
Rookie or Veteran: Veteran
Backstory: Pericles isn't a bad driver at all, in fact, he has been consistent and running top 15-20s most of his career in the league. Well obviously after his shaky rookie season, where he injured his right forearm in a heavy impact. Pericles has been better on Ovals and is known around the league to contend for championships. Even though he did finish in the championship standings in the top 10 Twice since the last two seasons; Out of all 4 Seasons he ran. Pericles does only have 3 wins in his 4 year career.

For the Veteran like Nick, his consistancy, his presence as a playoff contender, and well his toughness. It seems the other half of Shock-Allison will want you to come aboard. The 36 is open for you if you accept.

Pericles Accepts, & It's actually nice to create this backstory makes it much more interesting.

Pericles: "Racing with Shock jr. is going to be a First, but I like his fiery personality. He is a great person and I can't wait to find out who the rest of my teammates are going to be, this 5th Season is going to be one I will remember."

Scott Roush's journey has been noted in the garage. As the sophmore veteran he is, he's been noted by one guy, the legend himself, last years champion. Greg Harris. He wants him in his 43.
