Happy 5th Birthday to the Orion Elite Series and Sony Cup Series

Well it is March 9th again, that means happy birthday to the two most popular series on our forum. Technically OES started up about a month earlier, but the first video went up on March 9th, the same day in which SCS had its inaugural race. Who would have thought that both series would have been released on the same day.

Flashback to 2012! I like to think that 2012 was the peak of the NR2003 community. Leagues were popping up out of nowhere. Many people had multiple leagues running at the same time. Who would have thought that both these two leagues would at their peaks reach the heights of being two of the largest NR2003 leagues in the community. SCS today is one of the most watched NR2003 leagues of 2017.

I think some credit needs to be given to the TM Master Cup Series, without that series, the whole idea of building a series around a story-line may have never existed. I feel that is what has kept both the OES and SCS going for 5 straight years.
