Preseason Testing - Road America

Welcome to the first ever testing session here at Road America in Wisconsin. This track is a 14 turn 4.048 mile road course, and this session will last for 60 minutes. This is where teams will show their potential before heading to Texas for more testing, and then to Silverstone to start off the season.

More info to come as the days count down to test day.

To participate in Road America testing, please make sure to have your cars in by June 13, 2017 @ 11:30am EST.

Dent, ASCWCS CEO: "It's not surprising that people might not wish to participate in testing, as it would reveal the power they have under the hood and then teams would figure out how to beat them. I know that Axiom-Accord is a bit on edge on if they want to participate in road course testing, but they most defiantly will participate in Oval testing in Texas."

Sarah Scott, Axiom-Accord & Axiom Development team manager: "It's going to take a lot of persuading to get us in Road America, but Texas is a must for us as we don't have a lot of oval experience, and we can just do our road course testing at Silverstone too."

Royal Racing Debuts to the Track

Being the factory-backed Ford team is special for team owner/manager William Jackson. Ford has put a lot of faith into the team in hopes of making it the best team in ASCWCS.

Now one hurdle the team has to worry about is hiring two very green drivers of Ashton Young and Xavier De Urie. But Jackson has a lot of faith in the drivers. Supposedly Ford has suggested to Jackson to call over a mentor for the drivers, but we do not know who will be there. But the team is ready for testing at both Texas Motor Speedway and Road America. The team will also spend a bit of time testing at Silverstone in preparation for the start of the season.
