Jeffery Lynn's Dad Passes Away
Jeffery Lynn started racing in Season 2, his dad helped him a lot growing up in getting into the racing side of things with his career starting off to a slow start in Season 2 missing multiple races while his shinning moment was replacing Richerd Johnson in the Baerfield race that season, Lynn failed to land a ride in Season 3 however Hendrick Owner Greg Brown at the time said he was guaranteed a spot on the grid for the team in Season 4 if he wished to sign early so Lynn signed on with the team in Season 3 even though he wasn't racing. After comments of Samuel Mills fatal wreck at Indy, SCS Officials suspended Brown who drove his own 24 car for a couple of races. Brown put Lynn in the car as his replacement and since then Lynn has been racing in the series.
Lynn owes a lot to it, to his family but this week the Lynn family suffered a big loss as first generation driver and dad, Jarvis Lynn, passed away due to infection in his body. Lynn sits 23rd in points only 16 points to the good inside the Top 25 coming into Talladega a win could put him potentially in the contention of making the Chase for the Sony Cup. Lynn says he's had strong runs but hasn't had the finishes to show for it. Lynn feels competitive and feels like with HorizonGroup this season he feels he has the best chance to get back to victory lane for the first time in years. It's been since Season 6 (now Season 20) since Jeffery Lynn's last Sony Cup Series victory.
OOC: Jeffery's dad really did pass and everything in this is true.
