Season 1, Round 2: Five Flags Empty Season 1, Round 2: Five Flags

Ryan Smith: "Hello everyone and welcome to the 2nd Round of the GAMRA Waffle House Grand National Series, at the 1/2 mile short track at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida! Coming off a wild Inaugural round at Daytona, where Zachary Fitzwater Sr came away with the victory, we move up to Northern Florida to the 1/2 Mile Bullring, and to what many drivers consider the true start to the Season.

But before the main event, there will be a 20 Lap Heat race to decide which of the 4 drivers not currently locked in from the 11 car field will race their way into the main event. From there, the 24-car field will race 80 laps to decide the winner here at Five Flags!"

Things to Know Coming into Five Flags:
1. After an exciting 1st round, we now come to the bulk of what the GAMRA season is known for: Short Tracks! This could very well be where the Champion is decided, and here at Five Flags is where it will all begin.
2. And speaking of that 1st Round, there was a lot of comers and goers in that race, but in the end Flying Aces Racing showed their speed, finishing 1st and 3rd at Daytona and giving them a great start to the Season. But restrictor plate racing is completely different then racing on this 1/2 Mile short track where it's less about speed and more about keeping your car out of trouble and getting good acceleration off the corner.

Heather Halden: "That is what I like to see out of this car and my team! Two in the top five. It is a shame Anderson's car broke on him. We could have had three in the fives!"

Heather Halden: "I had a strong one at Daytona but got slowly pushed back and finished ninth. However, I claimed third place pole and finished in fourth place, which gave me third place in points. My! What a lot of places!"

Heather Halden: "I am hopin' for the best luck to my competitors and my team mates. Dirt, here we come!"
