Two drivers, Cyrus LaTerza and Sean Angel, have one goal: win the championship. The Battle at Indy features the closest championship of a 16-point gap in series history. Indianapolis is a draft-happy track, but it is very difficult to pass when there is a long run. Indianapolis is known to have some crazy moments, so we should not be surprised if something insane happens.

For the championship scenario,

LaTerza 1121
Angel -16

LaTerza can get in front of Angel all day. He can win the championship like that. Sean Angel needs to find 16 points on LaTerza. A 22nd-place finish could be suffice that would give Angel the tiebreaker by poles and the championship.

LaTerza gets the pole, so the gap to Sean Angel is now 21 points. Angel can negate the gap by leading a lap, but a 22nd-place finish, because LaTerza will the championship by tiebreaker of DNFs; he would require to 21st if it was this scenario. If Angel wants to win the championship (assuming if there is no more bonus points), he would need to finish in 19th place.

The race could be out tonight!
